The commodity library of Future-Window trusted packing system is the core foundation for standardized fresh produce warehousing, sorting and distribution. Each data field in this commodity entry page is indispensable for realizing traceable and controllable packing workflows.
The commodity name and category type define basic commodity attributes. They enable the system to classify goods, trigger matched sorting rules, and distinguish vegetable and fruit categories in statistics. The current example of eggplant was incorrectly marked as fresh fruit; this field forces operators to standardize classification to avoid mismatched process templates.
Multiple shelf-life fields serve quality control purposes. National standard shelf life provides compliance reference in line with food safety regulations. Measured shelf life records real tested data of batches, reflecting actual fresh-keeping performance. Storage duration under low temperature, room temperature and high temperature guides warehouse staff to allocate proper storage zones, predict spoilage risks and set order delivery deadlines. Different temperature conditions greatly affect eggplant’s freshness: high temperature will accelerate rot, while low temperature can extend its usable period.
Fruit/commodity status remarks record physical characteristics of goods, such as fragile peel or easy water loss. This information reminds packers to select proper packaging materials, prevent crushing and damage during packing and transportation, and reduce logistics loss. For eggplant, it is prone to bruising and skin scratches; the remark field can mark such features to guide gentle handling.
The selection & sorting requirement field sets picking standards, including size, appearance, defect elimination. It unifies judgment criteria for sorters, reduces human inconsistency, and ensures consistent product quality delivered to customers.
Collectively, these fields build structured commodity digital profiles. They support automated workflow scheduling, batch quality traceability, loss analysis and data statistics in trusted packing. Without complete field data, the system cannot automatically warn deterioration risk, allocate storage locations or generate traceable packing records. This structured data is essential for realizing full-chain credibility of fresh goods from warehouse picking to customer receipt.
